Savage Metal Restoration was established in 1995 by David Savage and is located in Austerlitz, New York, which is just two hours from New York City and Boston. We specialize in the restoration and fabrication of fine architectural metalwork for residential, historic, and commercial buildings. We work with building owners, architects, real estate managers, and general contractors, providing fine craftsmanship and professional service.

Savage Metal Restoration has worked on many landmark buildings, historic properties, and fine homes throughout New York City and the surrounding area, with projects of all types of architectural and ornamental work; including doors and entranceways, windows,hardware, gates and fences.

We work with a variety of metals including steel, cast iron, brass, bronze, zinc and stainless steel. As well, we have a fully equipped woodworking shop for projects that incorporate both metal and wood.

Our 5000 square foot shop is fully equipped to handle all phases of welding, fabrication ,machining, polishing, patina work and painting.

In addition to restoration of existing metalwork we can also custom fabricate new work from classic to modern for your home or building.
